Why is Kkeut Korean Medicine Clinic's Er:YAG Fraxel special?

Using Er:YAG instead of CO2:

While CO2 penetrates deeply, it causes strong thermal damage and carries a high risk of hyperpigmentation.

Er:YAG is a safe Fraxel device that reduces thermal damage while precisely reaching the epidermal-dermal junction.

Personalized Parameter Adjustment:

We adjust the depth and intensity based on the individual's skin condition, not just the machine.

We perform treatments safely through delicate adjustments, such as overlapping low-power shots for thin skin and single high-power shots for thicker skin.

Utilizing Overlap Technique:

We meticulously adjust treatment intensity by repeatedly treating problem areas such as fine wrinkles, scars, and pores.

Possible for aging fine lines on areas like the back of the hands and neck: We perform treatments on body areas that are generally difficult to treat, considering skin regeneration speed and sebaceous gland density with separate settings. Although it's not an easy procedure, we consistently offer it. We speak with confidence.

Double Fraxel Efficiency with Skin Booster Delivery Technique:

It would be a waste to leave the skin's open pathways unused immediately after treatment.

Kkeut Korean Medicine Clinic has designed a protocol where, immediately after Fraxel treatment, skin boosters are applied to ensure necessary ingredients reach the dermis.

Considering deep scars in problem areas or varying skin thickness, we customize the overlap and intensity to open pathways down to the dermal-epidermal junction.

When combined with small-particle skin booster treatments like PDRN and Juvelook, this process ensures absorption into the dermal layer, which is crucial for regeneration. It maximizes the improvement effects on pores, fine wrinkles, and acne scars.

What is Fraxel?

Fraxel is short for 'fractional', a method of applying laser energy partially with microscopic spacing, rather than stimulating the entire skin surface.

It creates microscopic holes in the skin to provide stimulation, and through this stimulation, it induces the skin's natural regeneration response.

This method of inducing partial damage has the advantage of shortening recovery time while achieving overall skin improvement.

Ablative vs. Non-Ablative Fraxel

Ablative Fraxel: Micro-removes the epidermis and delivers energy to the dermal junction, directly improving skin texture, wrinkles, and pigmentation. Highly effective but requires a recovery period.

Non-ablative Fraxel: A method that preserves the epidermis while delivering thermal stimulation to the dermis. Recovery is fast, but the effects are relatively limited.

The Er:YAG Fraxel used at Kkeut Korean Medicine Clinic is ablative.

Principle of Er:YAG Fraxel Action

Er:YAG Fraxel belongs to the ablative Fraxel category and specifically uses a 2940nm wavelength that reacts to water.

This wavelength can precisely vaporize and remove tissue down to the epidermal-dermal junction, offering three key advantages: accurate depth control, minimal thermal damage, and fast recovery.

By removing tissue through a process that bursts water rather than burning surrounding tissue, the risk of hyperpigmentation is low, allowing for safe treatment.

Comparison of DOE vs. MLA Methods

Fraxel's energy delivery methods are broadly divided into DOE and MLA. The DOE (Diffractive Optical Element) method delivers uniform energy to all points, allowing for safe energy dispersion. However, its output is limited, so the practitioner's skill is crucial for scar treatment.

On the other hand, the MLA (Microlens Array) method delivers strong energy to the center and weaker energy to the periphery. While suitable for treating deep scars, excessive energy concentration in one area can lead to longer recovery times.

Effects of Er:YAG Fraxel

Kkeut Korean Medicine Clinic's Er:YAG Fraxel utilizes the DOE method to deliver energy,

allowing for safe treatment by evenly delivering energy across the entire skin.

Through this, the DOE method is more advantageous for improving pores, fine wrinkles, and skin texture, and even cases like acne scars can achieve significant effects using the overlap technique.

Collagen & Elastin Regeneration: It removes damaged skin and stimulates fibroblasts in the dermal layer to restore skin to be thicker and firmer. The skin becomes smoother, tighter, and more elastic.

Pore Contraction Effect: Fibrous tissues around the pores are realigned, which can lead to pore contraction and a refined skin surface.

Acne Scar Remodeling: Old scar tissue gradually breaks down and is replaced by new collagen tissue, improving skin texture.

Er:YAG Fraxel Scientific Basis

Serdar ZA et al. Dermatol Ther. 2019:

333 patients with facial and neck wrinkles

Improved skin texture, wrinkles, and pigmentation proven after 3-4 sessions of Erbium-YAG Fraxel

Robati RM et al. J Cosmet Dermatol. 2020:

Patients seeking improvement in facial pores and fine wrinkles (skin rejuvenation)

Significant improvement in fine wrinkles with just one session

Long-term maintenance effect confirmed after 3 or more sessions, pore tightening confirmed

A Message from the Chief Director

Every day, we encounter countless skin types. No two skins were ever exactly alike, and even for the same person, skin condition varied daily.

As a procedure performed under the name 'Fraxel,' we adjust the output and depth in 0.1 increments according to the skin condition on the day of treatment.

We perform treatments daily with this mindset: more precisely, more safely.

True Fraxel is perfected not by the equipment, but by the fingertips.

If you have put your trust in us, we will certainly repay that trust.

Q&A

Q&A

고객님들이 가장 많이 물어보시는 내용을 모았습니다.

Is Fraxel treatment very painful?

QnA

Since numbing cream is applied before the procedure, the pain is not severe, but a burning sensation may persist for 1-2 days.

When do scabs form/How long does it take for them to peel off?

QnA

Generally, scabs form 3-4 days after the procedure, and peeling begins after a week. There are individual differences, but scabs usually fall off in 1-2 weeks. Since this is a laser treatment that induces exfoliation, temporary redness may occur after the procedure and usually lasts 1-2 weeks.

How long does the redness last?

QnA

Typically, redness after the procedure generally recovers within 1-2 weeks, but if skin regeneration is slow due to various factors such as sensitive skin, dryness, or lack of nutrition, the redness may persist longer.

Can I wash my face and apply makeup after the procedure?

QnA

Please avoid washing your face and applying makeup on the day of the Fraxel procedure; it is possible from the next day.

What is the treatment cycle?

QnA

Receive 3-5 sessions at 4-week intervals, and then re-treat every 3-6 months to maintain the effect.

When do the effects appear?

QnA

Collagen regeneration begins after 2-3 weeks, and you can feel the skin becoming firm after 1 month. However, for severe skin conditions, you need to proceed with 3 or more sessions to feel a definite improvement.

AFTERCARE GUIDE

Cautions

Results = Treatment × Aftercare. Please follow the notes below.

  • If scabs form on the treated area, do not forcibly remove them; allow them to fall off naturally.

  • Refrain from alcohol, smoking, saunas, public baths, swimming pools, etc., until all dead skin cells have exfoliated.

  • After the procedure, be careful not to rub or irritate the treated area.
